VISA GUIDELINES

Plan Ahead for a Smooth Entry into Thailand
If you’re attending the CLN 2027 Conference in Pattaya, make sure to check the visa requirements for your nationality. Depending on your passport, you may be visa‑exempt, eligible for Visa on Arrival, or required to apply for a visa in advance. Always confirm with the Thai embassy or consulate in your country.

Visa‑Exempt Entry
Thailand allows citizens of many countries to enter without a visa for short stays (typically up to 60 days for tourism or business under the visa exemption scheme). Visitors must also complete the required Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online before arrival.
For a full list of countries eligible for visa exemption and details, visit the official Thai embassy immigration page:
https://www.thaiembassy.ch/Content/Embassy/188.html

Visa on Arrival (VoA)
If your nationality is not visa‑exempt, you may be eligible for Visa on Arrival (VoA) at Thai immigration checkpoints for stays of up to 15 days. Eligible countries and territories are listed under Thailand’s official visa policy.
Check the Royal Thai Consulate or Embassy website in your region for the exact VoA list and application process.

Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)
All foreign nationals entering Thailand must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online within 3 days before arrival, regardless of visa type. The TDAC replaces the older paper arrival form and must be presented at immigration.
Apply here (official government site): https://tdac.immigration.go.th

Note: TDAC is not a visa and does not replace any visa requirement. It’s an arrival registration that all visitors must complete.

Apply in Advance

If your country is not eligible for visa exemption or Visa on Arrival, you must apply for a visa at a Thai Embassy or Consulate before traveling. Requirements vary, so check the official site of your local Thai diplomatic mission.

Tips for a Smooth Entry

  • Ensure your passport has at least 6 months’ validity from your arrival date.
  • Bring conference registration and accommodation details when entering Thailand.
  • Apply for visas well in advance to avoid delays with consulates.
